Meet the guys as individuals:
The mission of The Carlson Trio is simple. It is our goal to please the Lord in everything we do. We strive to use Southern Gospel music as a tool to uplift, encourage, and reach the lives of those we come in contact with. It is our goal to sing songs and speak words that would bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ, and that by this, lives would be transformed through the glory of the Gospel of Christ.
The Carlson Trio all began through the efforts of a young boy in the small eastern North Carolina town of Grimesland. Nathan Carlson began singing solo first in his home church, and then for area churches at the tender age of nine. Who imagined that he would soon be given the opportunity to open for groups such as the Dove Brothers Quartet, Gold City, Tony Gore and Majesty, The Crabb Family, The Galloways, The Dixie Melody Boys, and Movin' Up, as well as form a brand new group that would be singing at churches and gatherings of all sizes throughout all of eastern North Carolina.
Nathan continued singing solo for a year after his introduction into Southern Gospel music until his older brother Adam joined him. Adam brought a new horizon to the duet with the addition of his part and ability to sing the lower notes that Nathan could not previously include into the program.
Adam and Nathan continued to sing as a duet for two years until the decision was made to form a trio. The trio was completed with the addition of Brandon Smith, a young man who neither Nathan nor Adam knew previously. Brandon began singing with the trio in June of 2001 and has become the closest of friends with both Adam and Nathan. These three continued together until July 2003 when Adam and Brandon left the group to continue with college.
The Carlson Trio has gone through many transitions since then, but has worked continuously, through God's grace, to minister the Gospel through song all across North Carolina and Virginia.
Nathan, Glenn, and Kevin labor every day to allow a group known as The Carlson Trio to spread the "Good News" wherever God sends them.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14
